Understanding the Business
Understanding the business inside and out is essential for Office Staff, enabling them to make decisions aligned with the organization’s objectives. Financial understanding and overall business knowledge to help prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
This role will be an integral part of our business, bringing unique skills to the office.
- Handle general admin tasks – data entry, filing, records, and document control
- Raise purchase orders and help with approvals and processing
- Run PQQ checks and ensure compliance
- Liaise with suppliers and manage professional correspondence
- Answer incoming calls and internal/external queries
- Identify opportunities to improve admin and purchasing processes
- Help shape and improve PQQ policies and procedures
- Work with the team to roll out better ways of working
- Attend team meetings and update on progress and tasks
- Support with invoicing and updating job/project details in the system
- Provide general office support, including IT and comms coordination
- Monitor commercial accounts and resolve queries
- Take minutes during meetings when needed
Required Skills and Abilities:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a technical environment, is beneficial.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft office apps (Word, Outlook, Excell)
Desirable:
- Working within a Project or Facilities Management environment.
- Business Administration Level 2 qualification or above
This is a part-time role, working approximately 25 hours per week Monday to Friday. Daily hours required will be 10am-3pm, however this can be discussed at interview.

Full-time permanent Vacancy for a Heating Engineer (24th June 2025)
Pay is circa £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
We are a North Devon based Heating and Plumbing Company looking to expand our team of heating engineers with a permanent position. We operate a friendly and professional Company who believe that family and your own personal development is important.
Continued training and development is also important so this will be offered to the suitable candidate.
Post is for a Commercial or Domestic heating and plumbing Engineer who could be a recently qualified college student year 4 or an experienced engineer.
Hours of work are 8am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday plus overtime
Van, fuel and uniform provided
Salary will depend on qualification and experience.
